Coutorture BlogTalkRadio Seminar: Producing Your Own Videos

As part of Coutorture’s BlogTalkRadio Seminar series, we were joined this past Sunday by Community Partner Stephanie, of What Celebs Wear, to discuss producing your own video content.

Stephanie’s experience includes filming celebrity interviews for her website, as well as her own advice channel on YouTube, Ask Frasco.

One of the most important things that were discussed is how easy it is to produce your own video content, even if you don’t have professional equipment.  With a Flip camera ($110-$140 on Amazon) it’s easy to capture moments, interviews and events with the small portable camera.  Also, most digital cameras capture video as well.  The best way to become comfortable working with video is to go out and shoot.  Shots won’t always come out the way you planned, but practice makes perfect.

Five important tips when first starting creating video content:

1: Figure out what you want to cover; thoroughly plan out your ideas

2: Talk to publicists about event coverage

3: Think about what you would like to capture

4: Be true to yourself and capture subjects you’re enthusiastic about

5: Trial and error!  If it doesn’t work, try again.

Listen to the full show here, including these tips and more.  All of Coutorture’s BlogTalkRadio Seminars are available here.

Our next BlogTalkRadio Seminar will feature the ladies of The Daily Obsession, discussing what it’s like maintain a blog with multiple authors.  Listen live this Sunday, May 4 at 5pm EST here.
